Pimpri-Chinchwad – MLA Amit Gorakhe, a dynamic youth leader from Pimpri-Chinchwad, has been appointed as an invited member of the high-level committee formed to draft the State Youth Policy. The committee will work under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and this significant appointment is expected to give new direction to the holistic development of the youth in the state.
The policy will focus on key areas such as education, employment, skill development, entrepreneurship, sports, arts, culture, and social participation. The primary objective of the committee is to understand the issues faced by the youth, provide them with meaningful opportunities, and design a visionary framework that empowers them to achieve their dreams.
Earlier, MLA Gorakhe had the distinguished honor of representing India at the Indo-China Youth Festival held in China, where only one representative is selected from the country to participate.
His outstanding contribution to public and social work has been recognized with several prestigious awards. Notably, he received the National Youth Award from the Government of India in 2011–12 and the Shikshan Ratna Award from the State Government for his remarkable contribution to the education sector.
