Pharmacy Graduates Demand Urgent Syllabus Reform: Letter Submitted to PCI by National Healthcare Union

In a bold and much-needed step, the Adv. Amol R. Patil officially submitted a letter to the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) demanding an urgent and comprehensive overhaul of the pharmacy curriculum taught in colleges across the country.
The letter, submitted under the leadership of Adv. Amol R. Patil, reflects deep concerns from pharmacy students, graduates, and professionals who are struggling to find suitable employment or competitive salaries after years of academic training.
“We are producing thousands of pharmacy graduates every year, but many are jobless, underpaid, or working outside the profession. The curriculum has become outdated and fails to equip students with practical, industry-ready skills,” said Adv. Patil.

The Adv Amol R Patil has also launched a nationwide support campaign, inviting pharmacy stakeholders to join the movement by filling out a Google Form and endorsing the appeal to the PCI.

“We cannot allow this professional crisis to continue. If PCI fails to act, we are prepared to raise this matter with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and even move the Supreme Court if necessary,” Patil added.
