ITPF TENT PEGGING WORLD CUP - 2023 🏆
The fourth world cup Tent Pegging was held at South Africa from 21Aug to 27th August 2023.
TEAM INDIA won Bronze Medal 🥉 and reached the podium for the first beating the 2 times world Champion Eygpt, second strongest team South Africa on their home ground. There were 29 teams initially of which 9 teams qualified for the World Cup held in South Africa. India’s team score was the highest score ever in any World Cup.
Tent pegging is a sport of the equestrian discipline, where the objective is for a rider to pierce, pick-up and carry a target, with a lance or a sword, as they gallop towards the target.
It’s really a tough time for the rider to ride on a horse at a full speed, maintain the balance with a lance/sword & achieve the target in the very minimum time.
One has to be so quick, fast & furious!!
INDIA won the BRONZE MEDAL 🥉 and it’s a really proud moment for all of us that INDIA is really achieving great miles in sports.
This game is a very tough and a risky thing where the rider’s dedication and passion becomes the reason to achieve the success.
A five member Indian Team achieves historic podium.

All these people made our nation proud and we all will always have lot’s of respect and appreciation towards what they have achieved.
